Ingredients

ground beef

pound
pork sausage
½
cup
onions, finely diced
½
cup
celery, finely diced
6
slices
dried bread moistened with milk
3
eggs
3
teaspoons
salt
1
teaspoon
pepper
1
teaspoon
sage
any combination of garlic, fennel seed, sweet basil, oregano, etc. for flavor to taste.
Instructions
Mix all ingredients together well. Add which flavorings you prefer in very small amounts. Form into 2-ounce balls and place on baking sheet.
Bake at 350° for about 40 minutes or until cooked through.
Place in a saucepan and cover with spaghetti sauce or barbecue sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
