Tom and Jerry Batter
This recipe has been used for over 100 years at the Pickwick in Duluth, Minnesota.
Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1 lb. superfine sugar
- dash of salt
- ½ tsp. vanilla
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients with electric mixer in a mixing bowl at high speed. Beat until all sugar is completely dissolved.
Notes
The batter makes an excellent topping for both alcoholic cocktails as well as hot cocoa or eggnog.
The batter can be frozen or kept in the refrigerator for several weeks.
