Eibner’s was a successful restaurant, candy shop, bakery, and ice cream parlor in downtown New Ulm. It was founded in 1883 by Willibald Eibner, a German immigrant from Bavaria. The restaurant slowly became one of the best in Southern Minnesota. Willibald’s wife, Mary, was a great dressmaker and an excellent cook. After many years of success, Eibner’s closed in 1975.
