Ingredients
2oz.yeast
sugar
1c.warm water
¼c.granulated sugar
1Tbsp.salt
1c.warm milk
7-8c.all-purpose flour
3eggs
¼c.butter, melted
Instructions
Sprinkle yeast with sugar and soften with 1 cup warm water. Set aside.
Dissolve ¼ cup granulated sugar and salt in warm milk, and add 2 to 3 cups flour. Mix in the eggs and butter, then the yeast mixture. Add remaining flour until stiff but soft.
Let rise until double in size. Punch down and let rise again. Turn out on floured board and let rest 10 minutes.
Roll and shape. Place on greased baking sheets.
Bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.
