The Nankin Cafe was a popular Chinese restaurant in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This dish was served there in the 1960s and 1970s.

Ingredients

oz.
onion, chopped
2
oz.
green pepper, chopped
3
oz.
sliced mushrooms
1
clove
garlic, crushed
1½
lb.
beef tenderloin, sliced ⅛-inch thick
1
tbsp.
paprika
1
cup
stock
2
tbsp.
Burgundy wine
Salt and pepper to taste
Cornstarch paste to thicken
Chinese egg noodles
Instructions
Sauté onions, green pepper, mushrooms, and garlic for 3 minutes.
Add meat and paprika and cook for another 15 minutes.
Add stock, wine, salt, pepper, and corn starch. Cook until tender and thickened.
Serve over Chinese egg noodles.
